Chief Executive Officer, CEO

Toine is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Amicorp Group.

He co-founded the Group in 1992 in Curaçao and has built the business into an international service provider with over 40 offices, particularly across emerging markets. He maintains overall responsibility for product development across the Group’s three principal business lines – Management Services, Financial Markets Services, and Fund Administration Services.

His past professional experience includes senior positions with Antillean Management Corporation Amaco, the McLaughlin Bank, Banco de Venezuela, Safra Bank, and Chase Manhattan Bank. He studied Business Administration and Dutch Commercial Law at the University of Brabant. He graduated with an Executive MBA from INSEAD, which he attended in Fontainebleau and Singapore.

He has been a member of the board of the Curaçao International Financial Association (CIFA) for many years and holds a membership with the International Tax Planning Association (ITPA).

Toine is also CEO and Co-Founder of the Amicorp Community Foundation, which strives to empower local communities and create lasting structural change that builds a better future for people and the planet. Its projects include the Amisewaka – Desa Les Community Center in Bali, which delivers vocational and life skill training to young people; the Tuma Mi Man daycare center in Curaçao, which provides childcare and education at low to no cost to parents with minimal means, and the Trees for Schools program in the Eastern Cape, which plants indigenous fruit trees at schools in impoverished communities as part of food security and combating malnutrition in the region. A Coconut Tree plantation in the Philippines to offset carbon emissions from business travel will soon launch.

Toine’s other diverse set of business interests outside of the Amicorp Group include the African Caribbean Aloe Development, which develops and produces aloe vera-based ingredients for the pharmaceutical industry and organic cosmetics, and the Shared Universe Ventures Fund that is re-developing an area in South Africa for protecting and breeding of endangered species.

Toine has authored many articles and a couple of books, ‘Tantric Impact: Let Us Be Authentic and Leave Our Mark’ and ‘Mind your Business: Thoughts for Entrepreneurs,’ that advocate doing business ethically and holistically and achieving happiness in the process.

Toine is fluent in Dutch, English, Spanish, French and German.
