Derk Scheltema
CEO – Amicorp Management Services
Derk Scheltema specializes in helping clients to structure cross-border investments.
Derk started his career at ABN AMRO in The Netherlands before joining Amicorp in 2007. Since then, he has held various roles, including Managing Director in Shanghai and Curaçao, Chief Operational Officer, and Chief Commercial Officer before taking on his present role as CEO of Amicorp Management Services.
Derk has also acted as chairman of the Dutch Caribbean Securities Exchange supervisory board and has been a Curaçao International Financial Association board member.
He is currently also acting as managing director for First Abu Dhabi Bank and the Amicorp Community Foundation, as well as an initiator of the Caribbean Hotel Development Fund. Derk is an MSc graduate from the University of Twente.
He speaks English and Dutch.
